The breeder:
Since childhood I've always been surrounded by animals and specially dogs. When I moved away from my childhood home it was only natural to have dogs in our new family as well. Our home is enrichened by our
Pharaoh hound females: CH Northgate´s Ray of Sunshine or Ruu
and Irish Red setter females Original
Li'l Red Pixie or Hope and
Original Nothin on You or Option. More info, pictures and results can be found behind the links at their own pages.
I got my prefix Pareesa in July 2003. Pareesa is an ancient Persian word and it means "like a fairy". We have had two litters of Pharaoh hounds in 2008 and 2009,
and the breed will always stay close to my heart, but we will
concentrate on Irish Setters in the future. More information about them can be found behind the link to "Litters" and more about my breeding principles from the section "Good to know".
We live in Espoo, near Helsinki, with my husband Taneli and our two children Lily and Leo. I am studying to gain my Master's degree in
Political science and my spare time is spent with politics and doggy activities. I also work as a show dog and junior handler trainer and show ring secretary.
I am a member of the Finnish kennel club, the Finnish sighthound club, the Finnish
Pharaoh and Ibizan hound club, the Irish Red and Red and White Setter club,
Kanakoirakerho and the Finnish dog breeder´s
association. I am a Finnish kennel club contract breeder.
